Our community member Pelennor.com sent us this today concerning the trailer in Brazil:

Here, the main movie distributers haven’t decided if they will or not buy the copyrights for ‘The Lord of The Rings’. That means, no trailer. We, at Pelennor.com, created a petition, and we plan to send this petition to the brazilian distributers. If you are a brazilian or live in Brazil, come to Pelennor.com and find out how to sign the petition and help us!

Came home to this email from a disappointed Ringer:Just a quck note to say that I went to see Thirteen Days in Memphis, TN, at a Malco Theatre in one of our newest and biggest malls. There was NO Lord of the Rings trailer. I talked to the projectionist after the movie and he said they never got the trailer. Seems that New Line needs to do better if they don’t won’t bad p.r.Maybe in a few days Dave! Keep us posted and thanks for the note.

Just got this from a Ringer fan in the UK:

Trailer is showing in all Showcase Cinema sites in UK, I know because I work in the Projection Booth at one of the sites (Yes I get to watch it several times a day ). Albeight some prints arrived late due to the trailer having to be put on the front of the Lost Soul’s feature.

We are also getting reports from across the US that matinee showings of ’13 days’ did not have the LOTR Trailer. If that is the case, ask for your money back!

1. UPDATE Looks like the UK does have the trailer in front of ‘Lost Souls’ in at least some areas and maybe only at UGC theater chains. Matt just reported in that the trailer is NOT showing in Warner Cinemas in London. (Warner Village West End on Leicester Square) Robert , however, HAS seen the trailer at the UGC Cinema in Sheffield.

2. If you are from Finland, check out the trailer in front of ‘Red Planet’ on Jan 19th!

3. UPDATE The correct info for the trailer in Norway is Jan 12th – 18th in front of ‘Sleepwalkers’, and Jan 19th-25th in front of ‘Vertical Limit’. Thanks to Øystein for the tip and clarification!

For the current listing of trailer release dates and countries, check out our Previews section.

Harry over at AICN must have got his hands on a copy of the LOTR teaser trailer, out in theaters today. He has a very detailed scene by scene description of the trailer. So whats the verdict? Well, he says, “It is just good. Not very good.” [More]
