Arrowtown

After a little digging I managed to find out some facts on Arrowtown, the small town that was recently invaded by the LOTR Production.

Interestingly enough, just north of the town, where Bush Creek and the Arrow River meet, is a Ford, sound like a great place for a bunch of Black Riders to swarm around? hmm…

I apologise for the slight grain. I used a video camera as I don’t have a digital still camera and then used Premiere to frame grab for me. If I had used a standard camera we would all be waiting for the developing and I think the movie would be out before that!

You can see from the photo that they are modifying the existing Helms Deep set. On the wide picture, it looks like the are building the main gate.

Strange word from JW

The “Deluxe” slipcased limited edition of the Lord of the Rings was quietly released in England on the 21st of August. Bound in leather/board & printed on INDIA PAPER. It is already selling for $350.00 US stateside. Only 1000 printed. This is the smallest limited edition of the Lord of the Rings ever.

Did I mention I’ll be 33 in November? A special year for hobbits you know! 😉
