Lee Talks ‘Sleepy’ Role

Don’t read this if you really don’t want to know anything about veteran actor Christopher Lee’s participation in Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow.

Okay?

Now, for the rest of you, as you may already know, Lee plays the very small but important part in the film of the man who sends Johnny Depp’s Ichabod Crane to the small, dark hamlet of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of decapitation murders. While talking to the NY Daily News about the film, Lee was asked about the small part which prompted the prickly answer, “It’s not a small part, it’s a short part. There is an enormous difference.”

Lee’s next role will not be short. He’s heading down to New Zealand to play Saruman in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings.
