Bag End made of 2,600 balloons

November 3, 2012 at 9:32 pm by Altaira  -

What would you do if you had a bit of extra time and 2,600 extra balloons lying around the house? Why, you’d make a replica of the interior of Bag End with the balloons, of course. That’s what balloon artist Jeremy Telford did recently. His rendition of Bag End is complete with a roaring fire, apples in a vase and a ‘candle’ chandelier lighting up the room. Check out this amazing time-lapse video of his efforts, and the stunning final results.

This was simply amazing. You have an amazing talent- and patience! That was a full work week! Did you have a blueprint that you drew out, or did you just start twisting?

I planned it out a little bit. I Googled 18th english furnature styles to give me a platform to jump from. I read the Hobbit again (not a chore!) to gleen what I could of the description of Bag End. Then I did some initial sketches before starting the big build.
