UGA student accused of painting ‘Lord of the Rings’ graffiti
From ajc.com: Authorities say a University of Georgia student has been accused of spray painting “Frodo Lives” and other references to “Lord of the Rings” books and movies. The Athens Banner-Herald reports that university police charged 20-year-old Fredrick Dylan Cantrell with a dozen counts of criminal trespass, four counts of criminal damage and one count of marijuana possession.
A police search warrant states that “Lord of the Rings” graffiti has appeared at dozens of places on the Georgia campus, including restrooms, bus stops, sidewalks and on buildings.
Cantrell’s lawyer, Morris Wiltshire, said his client thought the message of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ was important. He said the series of books has meaning to his client, who thought it was a worthy message to broadcast.Posted in Fool, Lord of the Rings on May 20, 2011 by xoanon
