Michelf writes: The March 16 episode of Comedy Central’s “Colbert Report” featured an interview with Newbery Award-winning author Neil Gaiman. When asked for favorite authors when he was young, Gaiman promptly replied “Tolkien”. When he said his least favorite character was Tom Bombadil, Tolkien-geek Colbert launched into a stanza or two of Bombadil’s song.
