Roheryn writes: There was an unlooked-for Tolkien reference in the October, 2005 issue of ‘Sky’ Magazine. The article was a regular food feature called “Pie in the Sky” which always starts with a “delicious quote.” This month’s was by none other than J.R.R. Tolkien, with one of my favorite lines from “The Hobbit” — “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” Words to live by!
