Runner from New York writes: I want to remind everyone in the New York area about the upcoming Collegiate Chorale concert at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, November 13 at 3:00 p.m. The theme of this exciting concert is “The Rings: Myth and Music.” Featured in the first half are excerpts from Richard Wagner’s Flying Dutchman, Die Walküre and Götterdämmerung. The second half of the concert will be the New York premiere of Movements I and II, The Fellowship of the Ring, from Howard Shore’s Lord of the Rings Symphony, based on the music from his Academy Award-winning film scores.
