A lecture series on the work of author J.R.R. Tolkien begins today at the University of Notre Dame. Ralph Wood, a professor of theology and literature at Baylor University, will speak at 7:30 p.m. today in Room 138 DeBartolo Hall on the topic: “J.R.R. Tolkien: A Catholic Writer for Our Uncatholic Age.” Tolkien wrote “The Hobbit” and the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
