She has won three Oscars, a Grammy and countless other honours. Now Wellington scriptwriter Fran Walsh has her second honorary doctorate. Walsh received the doctorate in literature yesterday at the first of Victoria University’s five graduation ceremonies this week. Both she and her partner, director Peter Jackson, received honorary doctorates in literature from Massey University in 2001. Jackson was on hand yesterday to capture Walsh receiving the latest honour, snapping photographs of her from his seat in the audience at the Michael Fowler Centre. [More]
