A world-first motel has been created in a hillside at Waitomo. Inspired by the Lord of the Rings trilogy, two hobbit motel rooms are the latest to be built at Woodlyn Park. The park’s motel also has a Bristol Freighter plane and train carriages for people to stay in. The hobbit units come complete with round leadlight windows and a round door.
