British actor, Sir Ian McKellen, is remarkable amongst other things for his range – from the mesmerising film version of Richard III, for which he also wrote the film script, to a bit of Hollywood fun as Magneto in X-MEN, to his powerful presence as Gandalf in the Lord of The Rings.
