The new issue of Inside Photoshop (October 2003) includes an article based on the FOTR movie poster: “Text Effects: Combine Filters and Styles to Make Movie Poster Titles.” The author, Jim Whitcomb, analyzes the text in the movie poster title and discusses the Photoshop layer styles and filters needed to make similar gold chiseled text.
