As of Thursday, July 31, New Line has stopped tracking The Two Towers domestically. In other words, the movie has ended its run as far as the studio is concerned. Final Official Gross: $339,751,253. However, The Two Towers is still playing in a few theaters. It was at 30 starting on Aug. 1. But New Line is notorious for stopping tracking when movies are still playing — often hundreds of thousands of dollars will accrue after they cut them off.
