LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) – Cable’s Discovery Channel will unveil its first original movie early next year. The movie, called “12 Days of Terror,” will dramatize the true story of a series of shark attacks off the New Jersey Shore in the summer of 1916. Four swimmers were killed and a fifth badly hurt in the attacks, which inspired Peter Benchley’s novel “Jaws.” The movie, based on a book by Richard Fernicola, stars John Rhys-Davies (“The Lord of the Rings” ), Jenna Harrison (“Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister” ) and Colin Egglesfield. It recently finished shooting in South Africa. [More]
