We keep hearing this rumour, and people keep asking this question. Here is one answer, from Norway: “It says that a double disc theatrical version will come (to Norway anyway) on 4.august.
The special extended edition and collectors box will come out 3.november.” Similar news has come in from people elsewhere working in the video rental/sales business, though one shop got ‘June’ as the DVD release date: “I am a Video store manager, and I just received a list of when the Oscar nominated films will hit video. Two Towers is listed for June. I called my supplier to verify this, since Fellowship hit in August, and she said that as far as they know, that is accurate.”
