In Chicago tomorrow, as part of the Humanities Festival, Tom Shippey is giving a talk entitled “Trees, Chainsaws, and the Vision of Paradise in J.R.R. Tolkien.” It’s from 1 to 2 pm and it’s at Harold Washington College, 30 E. Lake St. Tickets are no longer available online so if anyone wants some they should go at least a half hour early!
