The Two Towers Soundtrack Sell Sheet

Thanks to the Hairless Pukel-Boy, we now have a good look at the The Towers Soundtrack ‘Sell sheet.’ Basically it is a summary of what retailers can expect from the release:

The soundtrack album to The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers follows last season’s gold, Top 40 album to The Fellowship Of The Ring, among the highest-grossing films in history and Oscar winner for Best Music (Original Score). The sequel, a guaranteed block-buster, again boasts a score by Howard Shore. The soundtrack album is sure to appeal to the millions of fans of The Lord Of The Rings and share in the success of The Two Towers.’

THE FILM:
The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers opens nationwide December 18, distributed by New Line Cinema. As with the previous film, The Two Towers is directed by Peter Jackson and the cast is headlined by Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen and Liv Tyler. The marketing, advertising and publicity push will be massive.’

LIMITED EDITION :
In November, New Line will release a special four-disc DVD edition of The Fellowship Of The Ring featuring new scenes that extend the film by up to 40 minutes. Shore composed new music for the additional footage. The limited-edition The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers album adds to the regular release a second disc featuring the bonus music from this The Fellowship Of The Ring DVD. The limited-edition version also includes a special booklet and leatherette packaging.’

RECENT SUCCESS :
The Fellowship Of The Ring grossed more than $313 million at the U.S. box office.’

AWARDS :
Along with the score Oscar for Shore, The Fellowship Of The Ring won three other statuettes and was nominated for nine more, including Best Picture and Best Music (Song) for Enya’s “May It Be.” The film was also named Best Movie at the MTV Movie Awards.
