News from Steve about the French and Saunders comedy special on BBC1 tomorrow night (Good Friday) in the UK. “It’s a complete spoof of FOTR. The trailer was very funny and showed a clip of Galadriel (Saunders) talking to Frodo (Dawn French). Even the music was very close to the original! The show is on 9.30-10.00pm”
Caspar Rieff of the Tolkien Ensemble wrote in to say “Christopher Lee has finished his recordings on The Tolkien Ensemble’s next album, ‘At Dawn in Rivendell.’ Christopher Lee recites about 20 poems from The Lord of the Rings, set to music by Caspar Reiff and Peter Hall and sings the character of Treebeard!” Here’s their website
