If you find yourself in Berkeley, California the weekend of August 3 to August 6, come pay a visit to Mythcon XXXII, the annual conference of the Mythopoeic Society. On hand will be, among other guests, Philippa Boyens, one of the three screenwriters for New Line Cinema’s upcoming Lord of the Rings films. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet some of the world’s leading Tolkien scholars and linguists, including Bill Welden, one of the language consultants on the LOTR films. As if that wasn’t enough, Tehanu and Quickbeam will be on one of the panels.
