Apparently Robert Shaye’s ticket for a rough cut for Fellowship of the Ring didn’t come cheap. In a reply to Wellington city council’s permission to land Shaye’s jet, which would have exceeded noise limits, New Line surprised three Miramar schools with a donation of 5000 kiwi dollars each.
