Horseman Angry At Lord Of Rings

A South Island horseman is considering legal action against the makers of The Lord of the Rings, after six of his animals were injured on the set of the movie. Nelson-based horseman Ran Colgan, who took a team of seven horses on a location shoot, says conditions for on the set are too tough for them.
Mr Colgan says he is considering taking the producers to a small claims tribunal, because he was left out of pocket when his animals were vetted out of further filming. The production company couldn’t be reached for comment.
