An alert Tolkien fan spotted this at the Barnes and Noble website - it’s the chance to advance order ‘The History of the Lord of the Rings.’ It’s by Christopher Tolkien (natch!) and it details the history of the books from their inception to their final form. It promises to offer many early drafts and unpublished passages. It’s coming out in September, but meanwhile you can check it out here. Thanks to Matt for that!
