Greetings everybody! [In reply to] Can't Post

I have been completely out of the loop. Is season two of rings of power ever coming out? I didn’t enjoy the extra stories that they had to put in, but I understand that since they’re not entitled to the rights of the Cillian, it was always going to have to be padded. But I enjoy looking at the places that we either haven’t seen or haven’t seen in great detail from, the Peter Jackson movies. So I would probably give this a seven out of 10

Hope everybody is doing well. If I missed it, happy founders Day!

Patty!!!! :D *flying-tackle hug* [In reply to] Can't Post

It's so great to see you... especially here on TORn's 25th Anniversary! I'm tossing drinks and tidbits around in the post above, so be sure to grab something :)

I'm shamefully clueless about the progress of Season 2 of Rings of Power. I'm in your camp of the 7 out of 10. I still have trouble getting my head around a few of the characters. My favourite characters and storylines so far are about the Stranger and the Dwarves. I plan to binge-watch the whole thing again this summer hoping my little heart will open to enjoying much more of it/them ;)

HUGS!

Yes, I have missed my Kahlúa and creams! I can’t have them in real life because of some medicine that I’m on. Bummer.

I'm good, thanks! The lovely Tayna & I are attending UBCon this weekend at University of Buffalo. Gotta remember my dice bag!

Yes, Rings of Power Season 2 will release later this year, probably in September or October, for better or worse.

Cillian? Do you mean The Silmarillion?

...and even less to trust, since news that false stories were planted in an effort to find who among the crew was leaking details to the public. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with season 2 but I don't feel any connection with or kindliness towards the show's producers. They're just not bringing fans along on the journey.

Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

We are doing as well as can be expected for some old folks… [In reply to] Can't Post

Bill is walking pretty unstable on a cane and I have developed type two diabetes. But generally speaking, we are doing OK. I have become a Francophile after watching people renovating châteaux on the YouTube channels. So I have been away from Middle earth for a while. But I’m told that there is going to be another Lord of the Rings marathon at one of the local movie theaters and it got me anxious to hear from you folks again. I am never so far away from Middle earth that I don’t return. And I cannot stay away forever from gramma’‘s Kahlúa and cream!

oh well if you're a Francophile now [In reply to] Can't Post

I highly recommend (you'll need Acorn) "Madame Blanc" - middleaged, un-thin British woman finds herself solving mysteries in the south of France.

I've been brushing up my French just for fun, and watching shows where people switch between English & French and/or speak limited French is helpful!

Greetings, Patty! [In reply to] Can't Post

I sympathise! I'm just about keeping type 2 diabetes at bay so far, though I do have the occasional sweet-toothed wobble. Is that chateau programme the one featuring Dick and Angel Strawbridge and family? My daughter is very much into that and so, interestingly, is my younger grandson (11). I think he's going to be a hands-on, practical man when he grows up.

Hey there! [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, I did watch escape to the Château and Château DIY on Peacock, but what I have mainly been watching on YouTube is Château diaries. Seems as if quite a handful of British and American DIYers have gone over to France to buy some of their dilapidated, châteaux and renovate them. I’m glad to see those grand old buildings are not going to be allowed to completely disappear.
