Hobbits on the bridge, Hobbits on the bridge! Can't Post

(No, not that one.)

Check out the reading room for our new discussion on the Shire, with this bi-weekly (once every 2) installment hosted by CuriousG!

For some reason that title [In reply to] Can't Post

gave me a mental image of Star Trek's famous 'The Trouble with Tribbles' episode, only for tribbles, think hobbits. How sad am I?!* TongueEdit: Now THERE'S a crossover fic I'd love to see!!

Ha! Yes, I think it's only logical. [In reply to] Can't Post

And probably the best possible Star Trek episode ever imagined.
Any AI-user geniuses out there who would like to try?

Did someone mention Ai art? [In reply to] Can't Post

Ah, my new toy and distraction. Here are a couple images on Imgur if you don't look too closely at their faces, which are a bit off. The first image resembles Frodo & Co, while the 2nd made me LOL: the AI decided hobbits on the bridge means they must have a snack table for food & drink! Of course. Cultural considerations are not limited to the Reading Room, after all. Smile

[Definitely not my idea, I just wrote "a fictional crossover of hobbits like Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, and others from The Lord of the Rings sitting in all the stations on the bridge of Star Trek's Enterprise. this is polite, tasteful, and respectful satire in art."]

Haha! I can't unsee that now... [In reply to] Can't Post

Good fun though! I did once write a very short crossover fic mixing up Terry Pratchett's Discworld and The Prancing Pony. It was... odd!
