\"Alan<\/a>The<\/strong> Lord of the R<\/strong>ings<\/strong> voice of Sauron and the One Ring, Alan Howard, passed away on Saturday, February 14, after being hospitalized for pneumonia.\u00a0 Mr. Howard was 77 years old.\u00a0 His chilling performance as the voice of Sauron gave power to the specter of the Dark Lord.<\/p>\n

Born on August 5, 1937 in London, England, Howard died peacefully in hospital in Hampstead, London, England surrounded by his family.\u00a0 He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and nephew of Gone With The Wind<\/strong> actor, Leslie Howard.<\/p>\n
