\"The-Hobbit-The-Battle-Of-The-Five-Armies\" USA Today has the following interesting little story that provides more teasing hints of what’s coming in the Battle of the Five Armies. No real spoilers, but there are three new pictures that I don’t think we’ve seen before.<\/p>\n

Perhaps they might be stills or crops from the trailer that’s coming out on the sixth?<\/p>\n

Five Armies closes the curtain on Middle-earth<\/h4>\n

Director Peter Jackson acknowledges that his sixth and final Middle-earth movie is his favorite because, unlike the others, there’s no traveling in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.<\/p>\n

His Oscar-winning The Lord of the Rings trilogy chronicled an epic fantasy journey to destroy the all-powerful One Ring in the volcanic Mount Doom. And the first two prequel movies based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit followed Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) on an adventure to take back the Lonely Mountain for Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and his company of dwarves.<\/p>\n

But Five Armies (in theaters Dec. 17) “doesn’t have any of that,” Jackson says. “Everybody’s where they need to be, there’s no new characters, all cards are on the table.”<\/p>\n
