On July 29th, 1954\u00a0George Allen & Unwin, Ltd. of London published the first part of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’. \u00a0The first printing was limited to 3000 copies, and only 1500 when it was published in the United States later that year. \u00a0 Who could have predicted that this little book would go on to become one of the most popular and influential fantasy epics of all time?<\/p>\n
