Tolkien&#8217;s journey to beginning his first book The Hobbit. But before he can bring the world of Middle-earth to life he must overcome the trauma of fighting in WWI and find his voice again. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nye tells El Anillo \u00danico:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I am not totally sure where the idea originated. I remember toying around with the idea several years before I began working on \u201cTolkien\u2019s Road,\u201d but I am not sure what brought it on. I can say that one of the reasons I was so keen on making this film was because I wanted to learn more about the life of Tolkien himself. <\/p>\n<p>A man whose books have given me so much inspiration, but about whom I knew so little about. Also the fact that no film about Tolkien\u2019s life has been made before was very enticing. I loved the idea that I would be the first to bring Tolkien\u2019s life story to the screen. I believe there are now a few Hollywood films about Tolkien in the works. <\/p>\n<p>I would really like the people involved on those films to see \u201cTolkien\u2019s Road\u201d and perhaps even get myself involved in those projects. Who knows.
