We&#8217;ve got two clips from<em> The Desolation of Smaug<\/em> for you right here! <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">SPOILER<\/span> warning, of course.<\/p>\n<p>The first one comes today from Entertainment Weekly<em><\/em>. The clip was shown &#8211; in abridged form &#8211; last night, during Evangeline Lilly&#8217;s appearance on <em>The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson<\/em>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The clip features Lilly and Orlando Bloom in the &#8220;It <em>is<\/em> our fight&#8221; scene that&#8217;s been repeatedly glimpsed in all the trailers.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\" 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug': Will the Elves join the fight? -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO\" href=\"http:\/\/insidemovies.ew.com\/2013\/12\/03\/hobbit-desolation-of-smaug-orlando-bloom-clip\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to see the clip for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s another clip from IGN which was surfaced in lower quality a couple of weeks ago, but is now in HD quality). Unfortunately, it would seem that the clip has been edited out of the version of the episode on <em>The Daily Show<\/em>&#8216;s website &#8211; but I presume that it will surely find its way onto the internet sometime soon.<\/p>\n<p>Of significant note in the clips, I think, is the darker color grading of this film &#8211; even compared to some of the earlier trailers from the past year. Just as we saw with <em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em> films, the color palette of each film seems to be adjusting to the darker tone of the tale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Can&#8217;t wait to get a look at the finished film following last night&#8217;s premiere?
