Gollum is reaching for some nice NZ rainbow trout<\/figcaption><\/figure> The Dominion Post is reporting that a new Hobbit-themed sculpture is set to be unveiled at Wellington Airport on Tuesday. Naturally, they’re being all coy about what it’s going to be but apparently the existing Gollum-chasing-fish artwork will remain.<\/p>\n

Wellington Airport spokesman Greg Thomas has confirmed a second “large, majestic” Hobbit sculpture, created at Weta Workshop in Miramar, would be unveiled inside the terminal on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

The airport already has a large sculpture of Hobbit-character Gollum chasing fish, which hangs above the food court. The new sculpture would not replace it, Thomas said.<\/p>\n

He would not comment on what the sculpture would be and, when asked specifically if it would be the dragon Smaug, would not say.<\/p>\n
