\"20131112_150753\"<\/a>A couple days ago, I reported that LA’s upscale shopping center, The Grove, was suddenly transforming into Erebor<\/a>. While we didn’t know what the purpose of this was at the time, many of us began to speculate that it was for the world premiere of\u00a0The Desolation of Smaug<\/em>, which is set to happen in Los Angeles on December 2, 2013.<\/p>\n

Well, I spoke to a few representatives from The Grove to get to the bottom of what this extremely cool makeover was all about. Sadly, this is not for the world premiere, but what\u00a0is<\/em> happening at The Grove is still cool all the same. Starting next week, part of The Grove will be hosting a Hobbit exhibit that will run until the film opens on December 13th! They did the same thing last year, featuring all of the 3D lenticular character posters for\u00a0An Unexpected Journey<\/em> and several costumes from the film. If this Erebor statues are any indication, this year’s exhibit will be much larger.<\/p>\n

So, if you are planning on being in Los Angeles for the world premiere in a little over two weeks, you might want to add The Grove to your travel itinerary. This is sure to be one very cool exhibit!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
