\"NYCC<\/a>Greetings from the Big Apple!\u00a0 TheOneRing.net staffers are gathering to get set up and ready for New York ComicCon<\/a>, which starts tomorrow and runs until Sunday 13th. We’ll be at booth 3008 <\/a>– that’s a corner booth really near the entrance to 3A on the show floor.\u00a0 Come and see us!\u00a0 Here’s some of the awesome stuff we’ll have at the booth:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We have a new shirt design! Our dragon looks rather pleased with himself – that’s why he’s SMUG.\u00a0 (See what we did there…?)\u00a0 Celebrate all things dragonish as we get ready for The Desolation of Smaug<\/em>!\u00a0 We’ll also have our popular ‘Bears and spiders and barrels…’ shirt design, and possibly one or two other styles in limited quantities.\u00a0 As ever, shirts are $20 each or three for $50.<\/p>\n

\"SMUG\"<\/a>This year we’ll be selling items from WETA <\/a>at the booth!\u00a0 We’ll have statues, mini hobbit holes and other delightful goodies from the New Zealand wizards!\u00a0 And if that wasn’t enough, we’ll also be selling Cryptozoic’s new Hobbit<\/em> Board Game <\/a>and the Two Towers\u00a0<\/em> and Fellowship of the Ring<\/em> Playing Card games!<\/p>\n

Only got a few bucks to spare?\u00a0 We’ve got you covered, with an assortment of buttons, posters\u00a0and magnets.\u00a0 Seriously, this year our booth is more stuffed with treasures than Smaug’s lair! As the only Hobbit<\/em> presence at New York ComicCon, our booth is the place for all your Middle-earth collectible goodness – get a head start on holiday shopping!<\/p>\n

And of course we’ll have some amazing prizes to give away; so stop by to browse, shop, chat and maybe win something special, such as a set of PEZ Hobbit<\/em> dispensers, a beautiful dragon tote bag from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a copy of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey<\/em> soundtrack, or even two tickets to see Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart on Broadway!<\/p>\n

On Thursday night we have our Ringers take Manhattan <\/a>party!\u00a0 Tickets are selling fast but there are still about TEN remaining, so get them before they’re gone!\u00a0 (Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 – if we haven’t sold out! – on the door.)\u00a0 This will be a night to remember – food, drink, music, great company, fabulous goody bags and some wonderful giveaways!\u00a0 We’re also delighted that we will again be supporting Toys for Tots <\/a>at this event\u00a0– the Marines will be there to receive donations of toys or cash.\u00a0\u00a0 All details on the party can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

(Please note – if you’re coming to the party but won’t be at the con, and would like to buy a TORn shirt, email greendragon @ theonering.net to let me know – then we can be sure to bring the right sized shirt along to the party for you!)<\/p>\n

Finally, our New York ComicCon panel this year will be on Sunday 13th at 12noon, in room 1A14.\u00a0 It will be ‘An Unofficial Sneak Peek at The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug<\/em>‘. Come by to hear speculation, sneak peeks\u00a0and spoilers!\u00a0 The room usually gets very crowded, so you may want to get in line a little early for this one…\u00a0 We’d hate for you to miss out!<\/p>\n
