Recipe below:<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>SCOTTISH OAT SCONES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2\/3 cup of butter or margarine, melted<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup of milk<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups all purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/4 cups Quick Quaker Oats, uncooked<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup chocolate chips (or fruit)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Combine all dry ingredients then add butter, milk and egg. Mix until just moistened. Stir in chocolate chips or fruit. Shape the dough into a ball and pat out into a circle on a floured surface. Slice into wedges and bake on a greased cookie sheet at 425 F for 12 or 15 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Great for breakfast, second breakfast, and afternoon tea!
