\"Desolation Hot on the heels of the poster release and trailer news, we’ve received word via Stuff.co.nz that Wellington will not host the premiere of the second Hobbit movie.<\/p>\n

Part of a deal signed with Warner Bros and New Line Cinema said at least one of the world premieres had to be held in New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Jackson’s spokesman Matt Dravitzki this morning confirmed the second premiere would not be held in New Zealand this year. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

EDIT: This writer’s interpretation is that this means that the world<\/i> premiere won’t be held in Wellington, not that it won’t host a premiere event at all. If there’s a clarification of this slight ambiguity, we’ll let you know.<\/p>\n
