To celebrate the release of The Hobbit this month, Kerry Shawcross and Chris Demarais, two members of Rooster Teeth Productions<\/a> (the creators of the acclaimed machinima series Red vs Blue*, as well as Immersion, and Achievement Hunter), decided to find out for themselves. They’ve set themselves the task to complete in just six days the 120+ mile journey across New Zealand from the filming location of Hobbiton in Matamata to that of Mount Doom on Mount Ngauruhoe. <\/p>\n

Are they mad? Possibly! Watch the series — the first episode of which TheOneRing.net is delighted to exclusively debut with Rooster Teeth<\/a> and Blip<\/a> — and discover if they’re up to the challenge!<\/p>\n

They will sleep on the ground, cross rivers, and of course, eat Lembas. Documenting the entire journey on video, the pair will attempt to prove that in real life — just like Frodo and Sam did in the book and the movie — one can<\/i> simply walk into Mordor.<\/p>\n
