\"\"<\/a>The film panels for Comic-Con’s 6,500 seat Hall H are beginning to shape up nicely, which helps TheOneRing know where its staff will be spending its time. Warner Bros. has booked a three hour slot on Saturday for the largest hall, and “The Hobbit” will likely be featured and be assured TheOneRing.net team will be there to fully report. Perhaps the Tolkien fans need to ready their sleeping bags. Rumors place significant “Hobbit” actors at the event but we have no confirmations at this time.<\/p>\n

TheOneRing.net also has been invited by Comic-Con to present a “Hobbit” panel as we have done for several years in a row. We also expect to feature some cool bonus content from Weta Workshop and chat about our Gandalf \/ Fandalf effort. Exact times will be announced very soon, perhaps as soon as tomorrow so stay tuned.<\/p>\n

Other projects from Warner’s will also be at the convention. Zack Snyder will have debut footage from next summer’s “Man of Steel.” A preview of Guillermo del Toro’s recently wrapped “Pacific Rim” starring Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, Idris Elba and almost a dwarf in “The Hobbit,” Robert Kazinsky, may also be shown. But it’s doubtful Christopher Nolan, who has never been at Comic-Con with one of his Batman films, will feature “The Dark Knight Rises.” <\/p>\n

Disney and Marvel will be back with the third installment of “Iron Man” and maybe we’ll get a showing from “The Lone Ranger.” Sony is also expected to have a panel but no indication of which project. Possibles include the “Total Recall” reboot, “Premium Rush,” “Here Comes the Boom” starring Kevin James, and next summer’s sci-fi thriller with Will Smith, “After Earth.” Summit’s “Twilight” franchise has never missed Comic-Con
\n\"\"<\/a> and expected to attend this year as well. Maybe fans need to start packing their sleeping bags now? And there is still no word on Universal, but they could showcase “R.I.P.D.,” “The Bourne Legacy,” or “47 Ronin.” <\/p>\n

Notable absences from Hall H are 20th Century Fox and Paramount. Fox has nothing slated that would make sense for a presentation but is well represented in the TV panels. Paramount may still schedule, but if they are a “no show,” there will be no preview for the zombie apocalypse piece with Brad Pitt, “World War Z” nor a first look at “Star Trek 2.” <\/p>\n
