(video)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2012\/03\/05\/54015-one-sing-to-rule-them-all\/dscn1031\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-54016\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-54016 no-lazyload\" title=\"Viggo at Coolidge Theatre\" src=\"http:\/\/www-images.theonering.org\/torwp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/DSCN1031-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>It&#8217;s all happening here in Boston!\u00a0Yesterday the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coolidge.org\/\">Coolidge Theatre <\/a>hosted a trilogy screening, in honour of Viggo\u00a0Mortensen &#8211; to whom they are today giving the Coolidge Award. It&#8217;s always fabulous to see the <em>Lord of the Rings\u00a0<\/em>films on the big screen, and to enjoy them with an army of fellow fans.\u00a0The 442 seat theatre\u00a0was sold out &#8211; and everyone who secured a ticket was in for a treat indeed!<\/p>\n<p>Jesse Hassinger and Mark Anastasio, the Program Manager and Program Coordinator at the Coolidge, welcomed us all before we settled in to watch <em>Fellowship of the Ring<\/em>.\u00a0Between that and <em>Two Towers<\/em>, TORn staffer greendragon (that&#8217;s me!) had a chance to say hi to the crowd and to remind them all (as if we could forget!) that <em>The Hobbit<\/em> is coming!\u00a0Then, just as we were settling again for <em>Return of the King<\/em>, Denise Kasell, the Coolidge&#8217;s Director, told us all that they had a &#8216;little surprise&#8217; for us &#8211; and in walked the king himself, Viggo Mortensen! (More text after the video)<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"520\" height=\"382\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5SFu66CaBGY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nYou can imagine the excitement\u00a0and delight of the crowd!\u00a0Mortensen was charm itself, asking how many of us had seen the movies more than five times, and saying, &#8216;Me too!&#8217;\u00a0 He stayed on stage for a few minutes and ended &#8211; gasp! &#8211; by SINGING to us all!\u00a0 Yes, Aragorn himself stood there on the stage and sang for us his coronation ditty; and afterwards said, &#8216;I was more nervous singing that just now than I was in the studio&#8230;&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s more to come!\u00a0A full report later in the week will tell you all about the events surrounding this year&#8217;s Coolidge Award, including more detail about the fun today.\u00a0So watch this space!
