Isabel writes,  &#8220;&#8230;the images of the Grey Havens are inspired by two paintings hanging side by side in the National Gallery in London. One is by Claude (also known as Claude Lorraine), a French painter of the 17th century:  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalgallery.org.uk\/cgi-bin\/WebObjects.dll\/CollectionPublisher.woa\/wa\/work?searchString=&#038;searchField=&#038;collectionName=&#038;workNumber=NG14\" target=new>Seaport with the embarkation of the Queen of Sheeba<\/a> The other is by Turner: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalgallery.org.uk\/cgi-bin\/WebObjects.dll\/CollectionPublisher.woa\/wa\/work?searchString=turner&#038;searchField=Artist%20Name&#038;collectionName=&#038;workNumber=NG498\" target=new>Dido building Carthage<\/a> and was inspired by Claude&#8217;s painting. They hang together by request of Turner himself.
