\"\"<\/a>The Tolkien community is, as always, ready to pitch in to help each other. We have a growing list of theaters where The Hobbit<\/em> trailer did not play with the The Adventures of Tintin<\/em>. While that film comes personally highly recommended (and with plenty of LOTR community ties including Weta Digital and Weta Workshop) readers here will likely want to catch the first new look at Middle-earth before they see it. This is not a definitive list and according to theater managers results might even change. We recommend calling before you go as box office sales agents aren’t likely to know the answer. Many theaters have issued a free ticket for a later screening to fans who very politely explain their disappointment. For every reader who wrote in with a city and theater specified, two wrote and didn’t include that information so this is far from an isolated incident. See the list after the break.<\/p>\n

We also heard from a projectionist in Australia that says the trailer in question will play with the Sherlock Holmes film after the new year. Europe, which has had Tintin in theaters for months, can count on not seeing The Hobbit with that movie.
