\"\"Frandalf<\/strong> writes: In a hole….no, once upon a time in a remote corner of Europe there was a Tolkien Society. Quite an old one too… We are talking about the Tolkien Society Unquendor in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1981, which means that this year we’ll be celebrating our sixth lustrum. Needless to say this must be done in style, as we did with the previous lustra. Yes, it’s partytime again in the Lowlands!<\/p>\n

So: from 20 to 22 May 2011 Unquendor invites all its foreign friends to its Lustrumfeest! <\/p>\n

At the moment we are busy working on the programme, which will be diverse and satisfactory for every type of participant. A few teasers:<\/p>\n

*On Saturday there is a conference with Tolkien-scholars from different countries. Guest of Honour is the renowned Tom Shippey.
\n*Parallel with the conference there will be other programme items.
\n*Afterwards, at the end of the afternoon, everybody can watch a production from the Unquendor Playing Group.
\n*On Sunday we take a closer look at the recent Frisian translation of \u2018The Hobbit\u2019 in the presence of the translator.
\n*A battle of five armies!
\nA splendid time is guaranteed for all!<\/p>\n
