Quite an old one too&#8230; We are talking about the Tolkien Society Unquendor in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1981, which means that this year we&#8217;ll be celebrating our sixth lustrum. Needless to say this must be done in style, as we did with the previous lustra. Yes, it&#8217;s partytime again in the Lowlands!<\/p>\n<p>So: from 20 to 22 May 2011 Unquendor invites all its foreign friends to its Lustrumfeest! <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>At the moment we are busy working on the programme, which will be diverse and satisfactory for every type of participant. A few teasers:<\/p>\n<p>*On Saturday there is a conference with Tolkien-scholars from different countries. Guest of Honour is the renowned Tom Shippey.<br \/>\n*Parallel with the conference there will be other programme items.<br \/>\n*Afterwards, at the end of the afternoon, everybody can watch a production from the Unquendor Playing Group.<br \/>\n*On Sunday we take a closer look at the recent Frisian translation of \u2018The Hobbit\u2019 in the presence of the translator.<br \/>\n*A battle of five armies!<br \/>\nA splendid time is guaranteed for all!<\/p>\n<p>Join us in this great celebration of Tolkien, Unquendor and Middle-earth!
