03.22.2011\u2013 Middle-earth Network is getting ready to launch Dunedain Radio, Friday, March 25th at 8:00 PM CST. Fans of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and the Fantasy genre in general are invited to a special launch party the evening of “Tolkien Reading Day!” Says primary founder Mark Ostley,<\/p>\n
“We’re having several of our freinds and celebrities phoning in live via skype that evening to say hello live to our listeners. Some will be phoning in and just saying hello and others will be staying on as they like, to take part in the launch party.” <\/p>\n
While the Middle-earth Network has said the final list of friends appearing on-air at the launch party may change; here’s the guest list at this point:<\/p>\n

Quite the exciting list of Tolkien enthusiasts and artists that is, in addition to many of the growing list of content providers that will be appearing on this 24\/7 online fantasy radio network.<\/p>\n
Co-founder Candace McCarty adds;<\/p>\n
“We’d love to have everyone join us live on the launch party to begin the journey with Middle-earth Network. We have so much in store including fantasy inspired music, interviews with top Tolkien enthusiasts, fantasy authors and creators.”<\/p>\n
The group plans to also have a representative character live in game on the Landroval server of Lord of the Rings Online. Players of the game will be able to ask questions, say hello to guests and request content they would like to hear on the new online radio venture.<\/p>\n
“We hope Tolkien fans and fantasy advocates in general will find a homely house in the Middle-earth Network; a place to connect with other fans and people that work in fantasy in some capacity.”, adds John Di Bartolo another co-founder of Middle-earth Network.<\/p>\n
The founders of Middle-earth Network are asking fans to help get the word out for that date of the launch party via Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks.<\/p>\n
Middle-earth Network’s stated goal is to make Middle-earth real through music, community, conversation, art, literature, movies, gaming, and more.<\/p>\n
