Simon Haupt of Weta\u2019s digital creature department,\u00a0 gave a gift to the team:\u00a0 copies of Gurney&#8217;s latest book:\u00a0 <em><a title=\"Dinotopia Store\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dinotopia.com\/dinotopia-store.html\" target=\"_blank\">Color and  Light<\/a>. <\/em>Mr. Gurney personally sketched each of the copies. After the jump, you can also find some very nice comments made about the Weta team.<\/p>\n<p>James Gurney is the best-selling author of the <em>Dinotopia <\/em>series, which was described by the Los Angeles Daily News as <em>&#8220;&#8230;in the tradition of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells and J.R.R. Tolkien&#8230; a triumph of the imagination.&#8221;<\/em> His blog, <a title=\"Gurney Journey\" href=\"http:\/\/gurneyjourney.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gurney Journey<\/a>, is one the five most visited art blogs in the world. His two art books, <em>Imaginative Realism<\/em> and <em>Color and Light<\/em> are among amazon&#8217;s best-sellers in the category.
