\"\"<\/a>Here’s another neat interview with Elijah Wood<\/strong> (this time courtesy of Collider.com<\/a>) concerning his return to Middle-earth as Frodo Baggins<\/strong> and having Peter Jackson<\/strong> return to the director’s chair after Guillermo del Toro’s departure.<\/p>\n

From Collider.com:<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0Was there a chance that you wouldn\u2019t be able to do\u00a0The Hobbit <\/em>because of\u00a0Wilfred<\/em>?<\/p>\n

WOOD: No. As it was always with\u00a0The Hobbit<\/em>, they wanted to do it very early in their schedule, so it just happened to work out very well.<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0So, did you always know that you were going to be going back and doing it?<\/p>\n

WOOD: I didn\u2019t always know. I had an idea.<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0What\u2019s it like to be returning to Middle Earth again?<\/p>\n

WOOD: It\u2019s a gift. We\u2019re now going on over a decade since I went out to New Zealand to start\u00a0The Lord of the Rings<\/em>, so it\u2019s just going to be a beautiful reunion.\u00a0I was actually out there in February and a lot of the same crew and designers, and so many of the family are a part of making The Hobbit as well. It\u2019s just going to be a beautiful, very surreal reunion.<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0Does it make it that much more special to have Peter Jackson back for it?<\/p>\n

WOOD: Yes, absolutely.\u00a0I was very excited at the prospect of Guillermo [Del Toro] doing it. I\u2019m a huge fan of Guillermo\u2019s work and he\u2019s a wonderful man, but it obviously makes it that much more special that Peter is doing it. It\u2019s going to be a true reunion, in that sense.<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0Who else is coming back?<\/p>\n

WOOD: Ian McKellan is back. Andy Serkis is reprising his role as Gollum. Cate Blanchett is coming back as Galadriel. There\u2019s a few others from the original trilogy.<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0When will you start filming?<\/p>\n

WOOD: Sometime in February.<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0That soon?<\/p>\n

WOOD: Yeah.<\/p>\n

COLLIDER:\u00a0How long will the shoot be?<\/p>\n

WOOD: They\u2019re going for over a year. They\u2019ve got two films to make.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
