Orlando Bloom seems to be shying away from playing the great elf Legolas in \u201cThe Hobbit,\u201d that is unless his original \u201cLord of the Rings\u201d helmer is behind the camera. \u201cWho\u2019s directing it, Peter Jackson?\u201d he mockingly answered when asked about the possibility. Yes, we know that Legolas isn\u2019t technically in \u201cThe Hobbit,\u201d and to his eternal credit, Bloom knows this as well. But dedicated \u201cRings\u201d fans know that Legolas is an elf from the realm of Mirkwood, a kingdom Bilbo Baggins and his dwarf companions get captured in towards the end of \u201cThe Hobbit,\u201d imprisoned there by the Elvenking Thranduil.
