The 2009 Gala will feature performances in a myriad of artistic disciplines based on A Midsummer Nights Dream. The Gala will also feature the presentation of the William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theatre to Sir Ian McKellen and the Sidney Harman Award for Philanthropy in the Arts followed by dinner and dancing. <\/p>\n

Our tribute to Romeo and Juliet at the 2008 Gala proved once again that Shakespeares works continue to inspire both classical and contemporary artists and that his timeless themes are as relevant to todays hip hop culture as they were in Elizabethan England.<\/p>\n
