Lord of the Rings and Fantasy fans from all over the world are coming to Germany to celebrate their hobby and fandom with thousands of like-minded fan and with stars from the Lord of the Rings movies and other fantasy movies and TV-series. For one weekend, the sublime hotel Maritim  will be changed into Middle Earth with Hobbits, Orcs, Elves and other fantasy creatures. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ring*Con is very proud to announce great actors from Peter Jackson\u00b4s  Lord of the Rings movies:<br \/>\nBruce Hopkins (Gamling, Lord of the Rings)<br \/>\nCraig Parker (Haldir, Lord of the Rings)<br \/>\nLori Dungey (Mrs Bracegirdle, Lord of the Rings)<br \/>\nThomas Robins (Deagol, Lord of the Rings)<br \/>\nRobert Pollock (Mordor Orc, Lord of the Rings) <\/p>\n<p>and as special guests:<br \/>\nKate Madison (Elgarain, Producer \u2013 Born of Hope)<br \/>\nChristopher Dane (Arathorn \u2013 Born of Hope)<\/p>\n<p>Ring*Con is also proud to announce fantasy and Lord of the Rings experts like<br \/>\nMarcel Buelles<br \/>\nFriedhelm Schneidewind<br \/>\nDr. Rainer Nagel<br \/>\nAlexandra Velten<\/p>\n<p>as well as actors from other fandoms<\/p>\n<p>All our star guests will answer questions asked by fans in the so called panels (Q &#038; A sessions), they will tell stories about the filming and their colleagues, they will write autographs live and in person, they will take photos with the fans and \u2013 maybe \u2013 the will join the great Ring*Con parties on Friday and Saturday night. <\/p>\n<p>But that\u00b4s not everything, Ring*Con offers much more,  such as:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshops!<\/strong> How to draw my favourite actor? How to make jewellery or ornaments? How to learn calligraphy? How to read and write Tengwar? How to tailor a costume which is as close to the original as possible? How to write a script? Can I act? Many workshops will be offered on Ring*Con in every year, sometimes by star guests. Take a look at the workshops, and you will find something that is of interest to you.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Art Show!<\/strong> Enjoy the works made by other fans, or be a part of the exhibition and show your own creations. Everyone can exhibit self-made paintings, models, costumes and others. You can offer your art for sale if you want and in addition, the exhibited works are part of the competition in which you can win interesting prizes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dealer\u2018s room!<\/strong> Here you will find everything you need\u2013 or everything you do not need. Action Figures, new DVD\u2019s, lots of autographs, books, magazines, costumes and much, much more. Take your time to shop \u2013 it is worth it! <\/p>\n<p><strong>Discussions!<\/strong> Do not only discuss Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit in the internet.  At Ring*Con it is possible to discuss live and in person. These panels and lectures about different topics will be held by fans, Tolkien experts and others. They offer chances to compare notes or to simply have fun. Any fan who has an interesting and suitable topic at hand can organize such a discussion panel. <\/p>\n<p>That\u00b4s a small insight to Ring*Con, but there is much more \u2013 celebrating parties, concerts, meeting friends, making new acquaintances, leaving the grey daily routine behind for one weekend \u2013 a highlight in the year for lots of fans. <\/p>\n<p>Ring*Con is expecting 5,000 visitors and the guest list isn\u00b4t complete yet.
