Guillermo del Toro talks with Daniel Zalewski on monsters: Guillermo del Toro wrote, directed, and produced the 2006 film \u201cPan\u2019s Labyrinth,\u201d which won three Academy Awards and became the highest-grossing Spanish-language film in U.S. box-office history. His other films include \u201cCronos,\u201d \u201cThe Devil\u2019s Backbone,\u201d \u201cBlade II,\u201d \u201cHellboy,\u201d and \u201cHellboy II: The Golden Army.\u201d His next project will be a two-film adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien\u2019s \u201cThe Hobbit,\u201d to be released in 2011 and 2012.<\/div>\n
