So who would  he cast in the role made famous by Ian Holm?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIan Holm!\u201d McAvoy proclaimed as if the answer was self-evident. \u201cI don\u2019t  know if he\u2019d be able to go back, but he SHOULD do it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He said he hadn&#8217;t been approached <em>yet<\/em>.  Could he be later? Either way, we will find about casting decisions <a href=\"http:\/\/newboards.theonering.net\/forum\/gforum\/perl\/gforum.cgi?post=102740#102740\" target=\"_self\">straight from Guillermo del Toro, as he, himself told us a couple weeks ago<\/a>.
