\"An From backstage.com<\/a>: Focus Features, Back Stage West, and The Hollywood Reporter invite you to join Eastern Promises star Viggo Mortenson (A History of Violence) for a screening on Thursday, Dec. 6, in Los Angeles. A crime thriller from A History of Violence director David Cronenberg, Eastern Promises tells the story of Nikolai (Mortensen), a mysterious driver for one of London’s most notorious crime families. When Nikolai crosses paths with a young midwife, he finds his loyalties tested as he is drawn into the family’s dark secrets.<\/p>\n

Written by Steven Knight (Dirty, Pretty Things), the film also stars Naomi Watts (21 Grams), Vincent Cassel (Ocean’s Thirteen), and Armin Mueller-Stahl (Shine).<\/p>\n

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Mortenson. Back Stage West National Film & TV Editor Jenelle Riley will moderate.<\/p>\n

The event will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, 6:30 p.m., at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Theatre, 8000 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, Calif.<\/p>\n
